Each cottage overlooks the central fountained courtyard and have their own private front and rear gravel courtyard gardens, bordered in part with original stone wall and patio at the rear and approached through an attractive archway with ornamental low wooden fence with pot plants to the front. Patio tables and chairs are provided front and back with a BBQ for 'al fresco' dining. The four cottages share the 10 x 5m heated swimming pool located in the communal gardens and a further 8 x 4m heated pool nearer the house. There are electric convector heaters in the cottages which make them suitable for holidays outside the summer months. Bed linen, tea towels, hand/bath towels are available. A welcome pack is provided. A travel cot, high chair and baby bath can also be provided by prior arrangement free of charge.

LA CONCIERGERIE

This is a large 3 bedroom cottage sleeping 6 persons, comprising a good size well equipped beamed kitchen/diner with table and chairs, comfortably furnished beamed sitting room with open fireplace, French doors opening onto the private courtyard and internal door leading to twin bedroom. There is a ground floor WC and Hallway with staircase leading to the first floor with two double bedrooms, a good size family shower room with wash hand basin and wc and a second bathroom with wash hand basin and shower cubicle and corner bath. Each bedroom is furnished with French style bedsteads and wardrobes.

LA REMISE

This is an attached 2 bedroom Cottage sleeping 4 people with well equipped kitchen area, nicely furnished sitting room with dining table and chairs and French doors leading onto the private rear courtyard and patio. There is a shower room with wash hand basin and separate WC on the ground floor. A staircase leads from the sitting room to a double bedroom, and a second bedroom on the first floor with twin beds, also a bathroom with toilet, wash hand basin, and shower over the bath. Each bedroom is furnished with French style bedsteads and wardrobes.

L'ECURIE

Is an attached 2 bedroom Cottage with a well equipped kitchen area with table and chairs, sitting room with french doors leading onto its own small rear courtyard and patio. Upstairs there is a shower room with WC and wash hand basin, 1 double and 1 twin bedroom, sleeping 4 people. Each bedroom features French style bedsteads and wardrobes.

La Mouette, the Beamed Kitchen & The Mezannine Sitting Room

This large 3 bedroom attached Cottage sleeping 8 people has a well equipped kitchen area with table and chairs, two double bedrooms and a family shower room on the ground floor. Upstairs there is a spacious mezannine sitting room with vaulted beamed ceiling, a second bathroom and wc and a large third bedroom with two single beds and bunkbeds ( which can be separated )

The Gardens, Pool Complex and Games Facilities

The Shared Heated Pool

In the Old Grange, an open barn, there is a games room shared by all the guests, with table tennis, bar football, pool table and air hockey. The barn opens onto secluded south facing communal gardens with 2 separate heated swimming pools and racquet sports for all the family. The first rectangular pool, is 8 x 4m with Roman steps and a uniform depth of 1.5m. The second rectangular pool at the other end of the communal gardens, is 10 x 5m featuring Roman steps leading down into a shallow end of 1.1m and sloping down to a deep end of 2m. Both pools are heated and fenced and have large sunbathing terraces, sunloungers and parasols. Here in the communal gardens there is also a boule court, grass short tennis and badminton, and croquet. Next to the shared pool is a fridge to by drinks and icecreams with table and chairs. Next to the 8 x 4m pool there are tables and chairs, a toilet and washroom. At the end of the gardens you can take a leisurely stroll into a country lane and explore the village of Lussais and enjoy the abundance of wildlife or relax with a picnic in the woodlands by the River Boutonne, also ideal for walking and cycling. There are also local possibilities for tennis and fishing.
